2009/7/1 Transformer the Movie (produced in 1986)… Reminiscing..I still remember this movie. It was broadcasted in TV in my childhood at least twice. It was many years back. I believe it has been nearly 10 years back. I guess I have never really understand what does the movie about. All I could remember are the scenes, and transformers. I don’t know how the storyline develops. I remembered the time when I sacrificed an episode of my brother’s Kamen Rider Black RX tape to record transformer tv show episode 1. There was transformers animated series on air during childhood time… I remember that I got to watch the first episode somehow… in the house of my grandma tv. During that time, my childhood, I have kind of interest to record tv shows, such as Ultraman, Power Rangers, Kamen Riders (seems not available in tv that time, but we rented video tape to watch). My mum and dad bought some blank video tape for us (me and my bro ) do the recording. Mostly I’m just the only one that pick up the manual try to understand it, and to do the recording. Well, that time when I saw the episode 1, I felt like want to record it, but I don’t have blank video tape… I ask my brother to let me use the “Kamen Rider Black RX” tape, to record the Transformer show.. (as in the pass those tape is rewritable, hence, “the 2nd episode” of th KR Black RX tape was “sacrificed”…) I do feel bad somehow of doing so… that video tape was bought along with an Ultraman ACE Video tape for me.. I always thought of keeping those nice show as collection and to be reviewed maybe in future… Lol, I couldn’t predict what will be. Somehow it just look precious to me. So I recorded the transformers the movie (animated) when the second time it was broadcasted on tv. But that time, there are advertisement panel cover up the bottom and the (left / right) of screen… … … … Years after… Today, I watched this movie again… on my laptop Dell C400, with subtitle, and this time I fully understood the storyline of the movie… Future is always… hard to imagine… lol… but this somehow just have a link to the past. :) 2009/6/29 Transformers 2: Revenge of the fallen… GSC Mid Valley.
Somehow for some uncertain reasons I feel like not quite satisfied after watching it. The pace of the movie seems to be very fast. However, something that I like is the concept of the Transformer. It seems cool.
For the first time of watching movie, I tried the online ticketing of GSC cinema. The overflow of internet traffic seems to bring down the website. Luckily, the good thing is they still have a stripped down version of the page, provide the minimum functionality such as ticketing service. So… I select the screen time, the movie, and also the pick the seat places (this amazed me of the ability to select seat)… Eventually, ends the transaction with maybank2u, it’s such a convenient :) However, additional fees of RM0.50 is charged for each ticket. Besides, the good thing is, I still can choose the “student price” ticket even if I do the ticket reservation online… cheers
By watching this movie, it inspires me to download the old animated version of Transformers the Movie, which was 1986.. lol.. such a long time age old movie I watched before in childhood time… (Probably a review now could help me understand better of what I watched last time. ) Oh yea, I searched some images from internet to attach with this post. Seems like these are the poster of the movie. It looks good after all.
As for this one, it looks like kind of meaningful. It shows the Autobot leader Optimus Prime… sort of Inspiring, giving hopes…
This movie also reminds me of watching the First Transformer movie (2007) with my brother in Jusco, (Kinta City, Ipoh). Moreover, before that, we have been watching this kind of Robot show since our childhood. Since now we’re fart aparted as studying in different place, then I wish he could get to watch this movie too…
Oh well anyway, it is really kind of surprise that all kinds of movie would come out in this recent years. Though this movie involves many heavy CGI, the great thing is that it merges well into the reality of the movie. Making the robots, the transformers look as if they are really there in the movie. 2009/5/10 Blizzard Game: Diablo IIDiablo was released nearly 10 years ago, last with Diablo II expansion: Lord of Destruction in year 2001… I come to look for the game, and try on it due the upcoming title, Diablo III, that is the what caught my attention. Though it was an old game, and I didn’t get to play during that time… but now it’s like compensate for it. At least, me and my brother, even my girlfriend can together try on the game, as fresh player, each on separate pc/ own laptops.. :) Besides, the good thing is, it’s the game that my Pentium III 866Mhz laptop still can well support. I find the game play experience of diablo is very interesting. RPG style, controlling a single character, (the hero) adventures, taking quests, and finding rare items and fighting along the way with an interesting lore, and back story. At least now, I feels great that I have tried all the three major game titles of blizzard, Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo… All I can conclude is… all of its releases are worth to play and interesting. :D The RPG style of playing which emphasize on character building greatly inspire me on the importance of having a well defined character goal, (what sort of character that eventually I’m building), a strategy, and lots of individual management things… Sometimes I would think, if I could apply to the method of strengthening my character in game in real life… isn’t that something amazing? 2009/2/5 Pink~! : KR Decade for Year 20092009/1/13 Project: Bomberman Bluetooth Remote Controller!
My Comment: This idea just come to my mind today, and I thought of giving it a try. Perhaps someday, run in public, or University Event, for fun? Only if there such a chance to do so. It was done in a rush, first attempt, still in crude form. :P At the moment, I haven’t thought of further development, until it’s needed. Lol 2008/8/26 Dedicated to Xenon 2... full power~2008/7/26 Batman Begins - why do we fall?Batman Begins, a movie from year 2005, after 3 years had passed, then I got the chance to watch it on my laptop, and it was just watched :) It capture my attention, and decided to get the movie, due to the announcement of next sequel of new batman series on cinema - Batman: The Dark Knight (2008).
BRUCE: What have I done, Alfred? Everything my family... ...my father, built... ALFRED: The Wayne legacy is more than bricks and mortar, sir. BRUCE: I wanted to save Gotham. I failed. ALFRED: Why do we fall, sir? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up. BRUCE: You still haven't given up on me? ALFRED: Never. ... (from the conversation of Bruce and his Butler Alfred)
This is the best batman movie that I have watched, as compared to previous batman series of the older time. "Batman Begins" open up a new era of batman, depicts the story in a darker and realistic tone, we look more into batman now, than just all the action fighting scenes. The darker and realistic tone of the film make it a success, which I felt much relates to the current trend of world and society. I personally felt that previous generation would be simpler, and for us, our era, nowadays, really a more complicated one... The dialog above was extracted from the scene that Alfred saves Bruce Wayne from the mansion that is burnt down by League of Shadow. Personally, I give this movie a 5/5 rating. Its storyline really motivates me, especially about how Bruce Wayne learn to fight against evil, learn to differentiate justice and vengeance, and also his determination and believe that the city can still be salvaged. why do we fall? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up... it's a very good point. The story begins with young Bruce Wayne falls into caves, and a series of miserable life until he learnts how to master his fear. Well, sometimes I just felt that being a superhero, changing the world, saving humanity, overcome the fear, and darkness of life, it is something really cool, and great. Somehow it just motivates me, to take life in a more positive angle, and see challenges as part of life which is unavoidable, but when we learn to deal with it, we grow. We learn to pick up ourselves, each when we fall... 2008/5/23 Chronicle of Narnia ~ Prince Caspian It has been nearly two years since its prequel , the chronicle of narnia : the lion, the witch and the wardrobe. This year May 21... I watched it with my girlfriend, and my brother. It is lucky that every wednesday there would be "discount" for watching movies. :) In overall, it is a good movie. There was one scene particularly captures my attention, which is in the part of castle raid, when the crowd (the narnians) are escaping the castle after they meet their failure. One bull man-like creature diehard sacrificing itself holding the heavy gates, for others to escape. Eventually not everyone successfully escape the castle, many of them were trapped inside. They're desperate shouting to those who has escaped, and those that successfully escaped turn and look at their brethren that was slaughtered inside sorrowfully... which I feel this is a very sad scene... as they had no choice, and helpless but to leave the brethren behind in the war... Well, at least near the ending part of the movie, there is one song I found very nice, which is "the call" by Regina Spektor... It started out as a feeling Which then grew into a hope Which then turned into a quiet thought Which then turned into a quiet word And then that word grew louder and louder 'Til it was a battle cry I'll come back When you call me No need to say goodbye Just because everything's changing Doesn't mean it's never been this way before All you can do is try to know who your friends are As you head off to the war Pick a star on the dark horizon And follow the light You'll come back when it's over No need to say goodbye You'll come back when it's over No need to say goodbye Now we're back to the beginning It's just a feeling and no one knows yet But just because they can't feel it too Doesn't mean that you have to forget Let your memories grow stronger and stronger 'Til they're before your eyes You'll come back When they call you No need to say goodbye You'll come back When they call you No need to say goodbye 2007/8/11 夏日八度~演唱会just watching it.. the Summer 8 Concert... from far, after work.... to the Padang Ipoh, the scene... and stage decoration.. everything is awesome.. 100k of people? gather there! well, that's waiting for my bro, to take him home... so just a "wait and see", along with dad and mum... It is a tired night, after a long work at Jusco..... Shoe Fair. 2007/7/28 Harry Potter ~ The Order of Phoenix 27 July 2007, watch "Harry Potter ~ The Order of Phoenix", in Jusco TGV Cinema, with my bro. it is in the same hall 4th, except 2 rows behind, J-Row we are in, compare to the day we watched "Transformer" H-Row... Not forget to mention one more little thing, it is the same "Friday" show ;)
I've read about "Harry Potter" novel.. these before, surprisingly... hey.. I notice big difference ? Comparing the movie with the 5th ebook I've read? well, the movie was good afterall. Hmmm... getting confused... and I go wikipedia.com to find out... to study and learn about it.. in the article the difference between the book and the film;

To my astonishment! What?? I've been cheated. I've read a "FAKE" Copy of Book-5 .... (no wonder... by the time I read the book, I notice something wrong with the "storyline".. although it seems to be convincing, the way of writing isn't the same, and the feeling of reading it isn't the same as the previous 4th, which all have a intriguing plot, and exciting, eventful storyline. The FAKE one I've read.... seems far too "ridiculous" reveals much about life, and just normal life experience?? No threat of voldemort.. no action... just plain... boring and long... life account of Harry Potter? I'm 100% cheated :S Thanks to watching this movie, and the online research. It corrects me of my "WRONG" understanding of Harry Potter.. I gotta read Book-5 again ;)
besides.... take a look of what happen regarding the release of final book of Harry Potter, book-7 by JK Rowling;

PRICE WAR
In Malaysia, a similar price war brought about controversy regarding sales of the book. Four of the biggest bookstore chains in Malaysia, MPH Bookstores, Popular Bookstores, Times and Harris, decided to pull Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows off their shelves as a protest against Tesco and Carrefour hypermarkets. The retail price of the book in Malaysia is MYR 109.90 (about GBP 16.05), while the hypermarkets Tesco and Carrefour sell the book at MYR 69.90 (about GBP 10). The move by the bookstores was seen as an attempt to pressure the distributor Penguin Books to remove the books from the hypermarkets. However,as of 24 July 2007, the price war has ended, with the 4 bookstores involved resume selling the books in their stores. "
After the show, I took a walk in MPH bookstore.. but I didn't notice any Harry Potter Deathly Hallows books... perhaps I wasn't paying attention~ Anyway, it has been a good movie, plus.. reading the novel is important =)
2006/12/24 eragon 22 Dec 2006, watched, Eragon.. the first of the trilogy, I knew nothing about it, before i watch the movie. Nothing, I thought it was a single episode, story. Never knew that it could have three parts.
in my point of view, eragon the movie in overall was great, i have enjoyed the every part of it, from each of the dialogs between characters and the flow of storyline is quite good, at least it is interesting, full of action, as the story plot continues, it describes the growth of the hero, the main character, eragon.
particularly, i love this kind of heroic based movie, it is inspiring, to see how a hero discover his own fate, and learn to master his own future. from the story, i can see that the loyal and faithful strong bonding between the dragon rider and his dragon. When u have somebody that u can really trust and share your thought and problem... it is a wonder in life.
When eragon, meet his first teacher, Brom, the dragonrider of the past, it reminds me that we could be meeting someone in life that could guide us, just we need to appreciate, it is a very special opportunity. That part when Brom was dying, that Eragon, fails to save him with healing spell, it was touching... when that's if really get deep into the movie.
A hero, meets with the heroin, and sparks up the chemistry that's the most romantic part, yet, something that makes the hero "complete"... when some how.. all these aspect, love, support, bondingship, teacher and student, fate and destiny, enemy, challenge, and difficulty, are the ingredients of a wonderful amazing life, and also a story. Neither one can be omitted. the Eragon, the movie, was great, because... those are fit in the show.
Each watching this kind of movie, it is inspiring and it is motivating. :) |
